Carbs? Good or Bad?? I'm confused!!       02/26/04 07:37 AM Edit Reply Quote lauralee1968 Reged: 02/24/04 Posts: 2 Bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, and other similar foods are on the hit list of most diets. Carbs are the enemy, avoid them at all costs and you will lose weight. Those same foods are helpful because of their soluable fiber content and can ease IBS symptoms. So, what if you have IBS AND want to lose weight?? Is there a way to combine the two schools of thought and keep the IBS under control WHILE losing the stubborn belly fat? Also, insulin resistance is important here, too. Apparently the foods on the low carb hit list cause a sharp rise in blood sugar followed by a quick decline. Any way to stop that particular reaction?
