Re: how many people tolerate soy?       02/24/04 05:25 AM Edit Reply Quote LauraS Reged: 01/26/04 Posts: 75 Hi Chris, For a while I could eat tofu or soybeans but not soy milk or any of those fake hot dogs etc. because of the additives. Have you ever tried an elimination diet? I reduced down to only a few foods (rice and veggies and a rice protein powder) and then reintroduced foods for three days to see if I had any problems. (I just had peas, they made me feel terrible!) This link has some good info, but your doctor might have more specific ideas. http://www.ic-network.com/handbook/eliminationdiets.html. Be careful- it's not a link for IBS so some of the suggestions are not IBS safe. If your symptoms don't improve when you eliminate everything suspect, your problems may not be food related!
