Thanks to each of you for your responses. As for the fennel tea, I'll keep an eye out for a white box with blue and green lettering at Whole Foods. I also was surprised I couldn't find it there. I may try Tummy Mint too.

It's too bad about the wings. But Bevrs thanks for the insight on dark vs. white meat. I'm going to try to notice that next time.

My heaviest trigger foods are wine (red & white--I don't touch it anymore), wings, almost any creamy sauce, and sadly, salads (something I've only recently realized with the help of this website).

I'm just now getting a handle on all this.

One thing that has helped for me is the soluble fiber supplements. I've been taking Metamucil (psyllium husk) but may have to change because of gas.

Another question I have is about taking fiber supplements (or even about consuming soluble fiber of any type before a meal to help stabilize your digestion). Is there any ideal time frame before you eat to take fiber supplements. In other words, if I swallow a fiber pill an hour before a meal, is that better than swallowing one five minutes before a meal?
