Hey there, Cutie-Pie!
Good for you! Ten hours of sleep?! You go, Girl! Your body obviously needs it, or you wouldn't be sleeping as you are. Your little body has gone through a lot; I would relish the sleep if I were you.
Everyone is different, every body needs a different amount of sleep. And I heard it's not how MUCH sleep that one gets, but the QUALITY of that sleep that counts.
It takes a lot to get me to sleep; my mind is always working overtime, so I need a lot of "encouragement" to get me to stop thinking and relaxing. (Thus, Michael's tapes are a Godsend for me.) On the other hand, hubby falls asleep at the drop of a pin! He drives a van for mentally and physically-challenged people, and it's really important that he stay awake. He takes naps a lot during the day and during breaks. He'll be out on the road, driving, and when he drops off his passengers, he'll pull over and stop, turn off the engine, tell himself "just ten minutes," immediately fall asleep, and wake up ten minutes later, wide awake! AMAZING. It works for him, and it's obviously what his body wants. He doesn't fight it.
I read -- or heard on the news -- that it's really beneficial for people, especially those under stress, to get "catnaps" in the middle of the day if at all possible. If you have the opportunity to do so, GOFERIT!
Your biggest fan, Bev
