Hi Gail! The suppositories are not like senna (which is a laxative), I think they are a stool softener. I don't know much about this stuff, but I don't believe you should depend on them for everyday use. Your body should get used to going on its own. You can also buy stool softener pills, I bought some (for just in case ) but haven't trid them yet. I wonder if they would have a better effect than the suppositories?
