Can attacks happen literally after you eat, like 1/2 hour (m)

I went to Wendy's ( I know a no-no) but I was my husband and kids & they wanted to stop and I was hungry. Normally a baked potato with a tiny amt. of sour cream doesn't bother me but today I added a chicken sandwich with <<gasp>> a slice of bacon. Literally with a 1/2 hour I felt the rumbling and had a slight pain and I ran to the bathroom for a nice attack of "D". Can it happen that fast or do you think it was something I ate yesterday that all of a sudden came on me?

I really have to be more careful! Good thing was I was home!
Sandy
