I was looking through Heather's book this morning and noticed that people with GERD shouldn't drink peppermint tea. I also just did a search here and see it mentioned alot. I wonder if that was my problem Sunday night and Monday. I think I had three cups on Sunday and two Saturday and two Friday, trying to be really good and follow the extra safe diet exactly.
I haven't been officially diagnosed with GERD but I'm going to ask my doctor when I see him this month. I certainly meet all the Rome Criteria. So maybe it was the peppermint, not the granola bar. As I said, I eat them all the time no problem. The only major change in my diet was the peppermint tea. Up until now, I've only had a cup now and then and it helped, but maybe this time I overdid it!
Any thoughts??? Should I switch to chamomile? (Don't like fennel, unfortunately.) Thanks.
