My tummy got a little grumbly after dinner last night and is still complaining this morning. I thought I was being real careful, but...back to the oatmeal! At least it wasn't a full fledged D attack, so my winning streak continues at 9 days!! YAY, ME!!!
Inquiring minds will want to know what I ate that might have caused it. My only deviation from the extra safe list was about 1 oz of plain grilled fish, which I ate with about one cup of couscous as soluble fiber and after my usual pre-dinner Metamucil "cocktail" as my hubby calls it! And I had peppermint tea after. Tummy's just not ready for protein yet I guess, although grilled fish has never been a problem for me before.
OR it could have been the bedtime snack of a granola bar. That's the second time this week a bedtime snack bothered me. The first time was the potato bread that I posted about. Again, granola bars have never bothered me -- they're one of my staples. Guess I'll cut out the bedtime snacks. I've learned that if I eat off-schedule, when my body isn't expecting it and hasn't produced the proper digestive juices in anticipation, I have problems. No wonder most of us lose weight on this diet!!
Or it could have been the snow, or it could have been the time of month, or it could have been the way I held my mouth!!! My husband works with computers and he and his friends say that certain computer problems are clearly caused by drinking Diet Coke rather than Diet Pepsi when working on them!! Go figure. Sometimes I think IBS is almost as random. There is no perfect knowledge. Oooh, I just found my signature quote!!!
