A lot of folks here are actually losing weight. The bloating is just that -- it's not fat, it's bloating, and it comes and goes. Keep up that exercise! I've had to drag myself to the gym when I've been in a lot of pain, and just had to work through it. Usually after a workout the pain is gone, believe it or not -- although, admittedly, it's not much of a fun workout. The exercise is crucial. A lot of folks here swear by yoga. I'm not one of them -- I'm too old and rickety -- but if I could do it, I think I would because I can imagine how it would help relax the muscles. And I think that's what you need most, from how your posts are sounding. Do you do meditation? Are you drinking a lot of water? Taking in enough fiber? How much? What kind? Have you checked out Heather's tummy teas? Fennel and peppermint really do relieve the bloating and cramping. Are you keeping something in your tummy throughout the day instead of eating large meals? Are you concentrating on how much fat you're consuming with each meal? We all want the fit body we had before -- all of us -- but we also want relief from the IBS. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, or the stress will work against your IBS. Remember, positive thoughts!
