Almost Slipped       01/16/04 09:16 AM Edit Reply Quote LauraSue Reged: 01/14/04 Posts: 4812 Loc: New York City I almost slipped last night and ate something bad. I've had IBS awhile and at point was going six months without a D attack. But the last six months it's been on average one a month. And for the past month or two it's been one every two weeks or less. My last attack was Friday night a week ago. Since then I've been eating only foods on the "safe" list and have been doing well. But yesterday was a frustrating day and by dinner time I was so aggravated I said "Awright, I'll have the damned white rice for dinner, but then I'm going to have ice cream!" Thank goodness I caught myself in the act of "stinkin thinkin" and stopped it! I left the kitchen, went and sat down and did deep breathing, then was able to go back and rationally decide to have oatmeal instead of the damned white rice, and NOT to have the evil ice cream! It was the mysterious spiritual power of this message board that made the difference...I didn't want to have to confess to all of you that I'd been so silly!! Thanks for being there.
