What you mention is a very real part of IBS - and the brain-gut connection is something that can go beyond the help of diets, supplements, etc. You can be doing everything 'right' diet-wise, and still the brain-gut thing clicks in.

This is because there is a 'tiny gut in the brain' that does not communicate properly with the brain, and there are connections made with thinking - if I leave the house - then worry of toilets nearby, being trapped in the car, etc. kick in. The hypno addresses these things specifically - but there is a catch to it - By reading, writing, researching and thinking about IBS all the time, you are actually delaying any progress the sessions may be making - I know - I did this all the time - and I also know how hard it is not to think about IBS when it consumes your whole life. But, if it is possible - while doint the sessions, try to refrain from posting, etc. You may want to check out the brain-gut video on healthyaudio.com which explains this cycle and how hypnotherapy works to eliminate it.

The encouraging thing about this is that most people who do the sessions (even if it is several times) do find that eventually, this brain-gut drama goes away! I communicate with many IBS patients who have reported just that - there are many success stories - so you can definitely have hope.
You can also get support along the way if you need it -

I know for myself, I was so incapacitated, I was nearly house-bound, and I raised my two kids behind the bathroom door - when they were little, they were in there with me - I would bring books, toys, in there - it was awful for them, and for me... I would be doubled over in pain during their dentist, doctor appointments, all the 'normal' routine errands, etc. leaving carts in the store and rushing home - so I know all too well what you are talking about...

So please, do not give up with the sessions, but try to not bring IBS into your thoughts if you can avoid it - again - I know it is hard - but it will help you get better quicker...

There is hope and just know that many people have gone before you and beat this thing with Michael's CDs - they are even used in a gastro hospital in London - so have faith.

If you need support regarding the program, feel free to ask me, or go to the contact page on the website listed in the booklet - always happy to help...

Take care and all the best to you -
