IBS-C and High Blood Pressure Meds       11/02/12 07:09 AM Edit Reply Quote avjens Reged: 09/13/05 Posts: 113 Loc: Iowa I have recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and irregular heart beat. The doctor put my on a beta blocker (generic of Toprol) 3 days ago. Initially I thought I was having a reaction to the medication, but after thinking about it I think I am now have a flare up of my IBS (it has been under control for quite awhile), problems have been bloating, combination of constipation and then diarrea. Has anyone else had this problem with high blood pressure meds and if so, what are you taking successfully without a side effect to the IBS? The doc has now taken my off the meds to let me body go back to "normal". Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
