I've been given this Simply Natural liquid calcium as a tester to see if I can handle it but I hate to try these things out because this causes me to have to stay home for a period of about 2 days in case there is a negative reaction, like diarreah.
My gastro Dr gave me a series of tests a few years ago and diagnosed me with IBS. I follow Heather's food plan, take Florastor pro-biotics, read all her books, but if you can be sensitive to something, I am, like things with soy, HFCS, can't have casein/whey proteins, etc. My life is more stable, but I still have my little episodes and then wonder what caused that, so I'm hesitant on experimenting with this calcium.
* It's pre-acidified - what does that mean?
* it has sucrose -free vanilla flavoring
* it's 100% vegetarian
* it has xanthan gum, potassium sorbate, and postassium benzoate - is this ok for me?
* it contains no artificial coloring, wheat, gluten or milk derivatives
* 1000 mg of calcium with 800 IU of Vit D-3, 600 mg phosphorus, and 600 mg of magnesium, 20mg of Stevia (leaf extract)

My husband doesn't think I get enough calcium from my occasional bowl of cereal with rice milk. What is your opinion? Thank you!
