I notice the effects within 1 minute - 2 days. Depends on the type of food..
For me, dairy causes nausea almost directly.. For me it's one of the biggest triggers. But yoghurt takes longer (of what I can remember, haven't had it in about 1,5 year ;-)..

I do eat very very tiny amounts of dairy, e.g. milkpowder added in white bread.

started EFI +FODMAPs 1/2011. 'Relapse' for 8 months. Now partly back on track again with the diet..
