IBS and therapeutic fasting       07/23/12 02:23 PM Edit Reply Quote Desert Phoenix Reged: 12/17/03 Posts: 137 I've been reading about the work Joel Fuhrman, MD has been doing in terms of therapeutic fasting (see *Fasting and Eating for Health*). He claims that many experience tremendous benefit from this for all kinds of complaints and chronic conditions. Has anyone done a long-term fast for IBS? Was just curious if anyone has taken that approach. The general consensus seems to be that one needs medical supervision for doing a fast more than 3 days.
