Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs)       05/15/12 02:48 AM Edit Reply Quote mradams1 Reged: 07/12/10 Posts: 206 I've recently started a course of PPIs (lansoprazole) to treat my suspected gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). However, I'm concerned about the possible impact of this medication on my IBS symptoms. The most common side-effects of the drug include: constipation, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal (tummy) pain, vomiting and stomach infections.
