SO sorry you had to get sick like that.

I don't know if this will be part of the picture for you, but have they done the test for methane? When I went for my test they said the same fasting applied to both tests (hydrogen and methane), but they do run the tests differently (I think I drank a different solution, but not sure). It might be worth asking if you're not sure. My hydrogen levels rose, but only slightly, and were in normal range. My methane levels were ridiculously high. You can definitely feel very sick from either one!! I had to run for the bathroom less than 10 minutes in to the test (and I'm an IBS-C!), and I was full of gas when my GI listened to my stomach.

I hope your next appt is helpful and that you get some good answers.
