Welcome to the board,

The problem you describe is common for individuals with IBS. The delay is the time it takes for undigested foods to reach the colon where is it is fermented by colonic bacteria to produce gas and other by-products.

Have you read Heather's books and/or looked at the dietary information on this web site particularly the information on soluble, insoluble fiber and trigger foods? You may also find the information in the first two link in my signature useful for managing bloating, gas and pain.

Ask lots of questions. There are many knowledgeable people on the board.
