Hi Aly,

I also took Miralax and did not do well as I felt it caused me pain/bloating and "really loose" not consistent BM's, and also did not really make me go without the support of stool softener or a stimulant. I am now using Magnesium Oxide along w/Vitamin C. This will make you loose (depending on what you have eaten) also but it has been more consistent and productive for me (in the a.m.)
and w/less
side effects, than Miralax. It has been working for me about 1 1/2 months so far (fingers crossed). I only take it at night.

P.S. I am also a fellow Gastroparesis sufferer just dx 1/2012, they say my case is mild, but I don't think there is a difference in degrees when it comes to discomfort, pain, nausea etc. I had a really bad flare about a month ago, and could not eat a thing, lost a ton of weight!! I went to a pretty much liquid/low residue diet until I weathered the storm (about 2/3 weeks) Hang in there and I hope you feel better soon.
