IBS-C and D are very general umbrella categories. The 3rd one is IBS-A, which means you alternate between C and D. I also find I have symptoms of both, but I lean more towards C than D. I think if you described your symptoms to a doctor, he or she wouldn't probably classify you as predominantly D because it sounds like you tend towards excessive gut motility, not a lack of motility. Going BM several times a day and always feeling like you have to go is symptomatic of a colon that's moving waste through too fast. What makes you say your BMs feel C?
