Also, having been lactose intolerant myself for many years, I can tell you that I could never have had a whole glass of milk, even before developing IBS. People have varying tolerances to lactose, so some can have a bunch and others can't even tolerate trace amounts. So in other words, it depends on your body. Honestly, I wouldn't try it if I were you. You can get soy and rice milks that are fortified so they have just as much calcium as a glass of dairy milk.
