I can't not eat iceberg lettuce at all and never have been able to. Even people I know with really good digestion don't seem to be able to tolerate it. If you can tolerate it then more power to you! You have my respect. The other lettuce you mentioned I also buy but it's butter lettuce. Maybe they just call it something different in different parts of the country. I love how it last such a long time.
