I've been away from the forum for a while but not much has changed so the frustration of living with IBS is still there. I find that while the potential negative effects of consuming "trigger foods" will almost always occur, the same can not be said for enjoying relief while being strict and adhering to the diet. It is always there.

So with that said, I just don't get how this is an "incurable condition." I don't know how severe my symptoms are compared to others but this is something that impedes my functionality day to day. I'm only 36 and afraid that I'm heading towards having to resort to a colostomy due to my D symptoms and incontinence.
