Re: Isn't carageenan bad?       11/04/10 11:05 PM Edit Reply Quote Heatheranne Reged: 11/04/10 Posts: 1 I have read recently numerous articles stating that Carageenan is really not good for human consumption. Some of the articles have stated that it can cause Colitis and Crohn's disease. I was drinking Almond Breeze everyday and my intestines were terrible. I noticed Carageenan in my milk and stopped drinking it and my intestines are greatly improving. It is in a whole lot of processed foods and even rice milk. Check your labels and avoid processed foods with this in it. The articles also state it has been linked to gastrointestinal malignancies. It also states that yes it is a seaweed but that doesn't mean humans should eat it. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
