I am very very worried that it will make my dysbiosis worse and cause c diff and candida overgrowth. I have also been dealing with parasites for the past year and they finally disappeared, but i still have bacterial overgrowth and it is contributing to a lot of my symptoms
i took alinia several months ago for parasites and it really made me feel better. Alinia has antibacterial activity but not as much as an antibiotic like rifaximin. im wondering if it is safe to do this because i will essentially be wiping out my entire flora.
Furthermore, my stool test showed that i have minimal growth of Lactobacilli and Bifidobacterium even though i megadose on probiotcs daily
I want to correct my insides but also dont want to make things worse. I would very much appreciate any feedback cause i am at a loss
