Hi,

Thought I'd chip in on this since I live in the UK. The Daily Mail, the paper that reported the research, often publishes stories linked to digestive/GI complaints. I personally ignore anything they publish; it's akin to taking medical advice from a plumber.

The 'journalism' is sloppy, right-wing, racist, and there 'research' is non-existent. They produce scare-mongering stories and ridiculous headlines on the flimsiest of evidence. (The evils of immigration is a favourite)

Anyway, just my thoughts (and bias) on the subject.
