The last week my IBS has been a lot better. I have been eating just the same foods, having the same amount of fiber and type of BMs.
However what I have done is take 2-3 caps of Beano at every meal (which is 5-6) regardless of it has veggies or complex carbs which beano is said to impact.
All I know is that my stomach is much less bloated than before. Now I do not know if Beano is responible, in part because Beano is said to work only for certain kinds of vegies and complex carbs.
The problem, if any, with Beano is that I go through a bottle a week. Now I am wondering if Beano is why I am doing better, and since Beano is designed only for certain foods, if there might be an even better product for me given my symptoms.
I recall reading on here that somebody who had IBS-C made major improvements taking a digestive enzyme. My questions are as follows
1) Do you feel the Beano is largely responsible? 2) Given my symptoms (bloating in the stomach) and possible benefits from Beano...do you think there might be an even better product to directly target my symptom?
A. I know Gas-X makes a gas reliever, they also make a gas preventer and it only requires 1 pill...would this work as well?
B. What about digistive enzymes...would this perhaps work even better and if so which? -Bio-gest?
