I did 6 weeks gluten free before I finally broke down, accepted IBS as my diagnosis, and started following the EFI diet. I saw little to no change in eliminating gluten. My blood work also showed no wheat allergy, and no markers for Celiac. I, like you, had heard of other people having success with eliminating gluten, though, so I gave it a shot. At least I know that that's not what my problem is, though
