I recently found "Better Than Bouillon" Vegetable base at the grocery store. It comes in a jar and is a really delicious alternative to chicken or beef stock/broth. It costs $6.00 but it makes 38 serving or 9.5 quarts and is stored in the fridge . When I need a cup of broth I add 1 teaspoon to 8 oz of water. It is cerified vegan, and can be used as a basic stock for soups, sauces, or used to cook vegetables, rice or pasta. The possibilities are endless!
