Well at least what you are eating now is better than no food at all.
It is time to incorporate some more foods in to your diet. There would be no way to get over the C otherwise. The benefiber is good. Just very gradually increase it over several weeks. So you need to add foods that will help your C without giving you D. Start with the easier to digest fruits and veggies like SF fruits (mango, ripe banana, apple sauce, canned peaches) and cooked SF veggies (sweet potatoes, carrots, other root veggies, mushrooms, squash, and well cooked green veggies like peas, green beans, asparagus, spinach).
Take peppermint capsules before eating and drink the fennel tea with peppermint mixed in to make sure your gut spasms won't swing and give you D. Start slowly by just adding one or two things a day. Hope this helps.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
