IBS-D sufferers, any luck with help from taking antihistamines?

I have been doing some internet research, and it appears there are more and more studies coming out linking ibs-d symptoms to allergies and production of histamines.

I've found that my IBS-D symptoms flare up tremendously during the springtime, when pollen is at it's highest. I recently started taking Zyrtec 24hrs over the counter, starting with last thursday. It's too soon to tell if the pills actually helped, but I did have a 4 day period of no problems. B. However yesterday pollen counts were at their highest so far, and this morning I awoke to an upset stomach.

I'm wondering if anybody else has linked seasonal allergies to their IBS symptoms, and if so, what works for you? I'm wondering if I should keep taking the zyrtec, try something stronger, or what.
