I belong to other support groups online, I have told people about this web site and have spoken very highly of all of you and of course heather. I had one person e-mail me directly and she was confused about this diet and it started me really thinking. I am a very picky person, I hate a lot of foods, I figured once I realised I had no choice this would change but it hasn't. The lady asked me how startchy food can be good when we are told to stay away from eating to much of them, then I was also reminded that at one point my father was told by his doctor to not eat to much breads and such, it can turn to sugar, he was diabetic, I am at risk for it also. I thought that to much starchy foods can consipate you. I do have the first year with IBS book, I did read where it says it all goes through you but then here I am seeing all this akins diet stuff and starting to worry. I lost a lot of weight over the last couple of months, I pretty much eat the same things over and over and I am wondering is this wrong, here is what I eat, white minute rice, a lot of boneless chicken, potatoe's, mashed usually or plane baked. I did make macoroni salad at one point or is that tuna salad, well either way, I bought the light miracle whip but was to freaked out that it would make me sick to eat it. So here is my thing, is it a fact that all this starch is ok? Is it a fact that I am not going to gain all this weight back by eating the foods that I am eating. Oh I do try to add insoluble fiber here and there, taking my time with that, mainly salads.

Any advice will help a great deal
TY
Jenn
