If you are concerned about this you might ask your doctor for a blood test. If the test is positive then you likely need to have a endoscopy to take a biopsy to confirm the findings. One of the primary foods that is eliminated in celiac disease is wheat because of its gluten content. However, there is a fair amount of research to show the some components in wheat other than gluten can exacerbate IBS symptoms.
