If I wait to say thanks until I read all of that you might think I never got it so I just wanted to say thanks.
My fear is that unlike say cancer which can be cut out, or a virus or bacterial problem that can be stamped out, or an organ that can be replaced, that as a neurological problem there really is no way to ever cure IBS. Perhaps our science will be advanced enough in the future to genetically modify babies to not have the predisposition, but to actually change one aspect of how the nervous system operates while maintaining all of the other important functions seems very daunting, to say the least.
I'll read the studies and let you know if I have any follow-ups. Thanks!
