Re: Elevated bilirubin       01/06/04 03:10 PM Edit Reply Quote Cate712 Reged: 07/18/03 Posts: 42 Loc: Missouri Hi Christy! I did talk with my doctor about the elevated bilirubin. He said that my gall bladder is not eliminating the bilirubin for some reason. As we all know, doctors don't always have an answer. Sometimes we have to wait, do more tests, and wait some more. However, my sister had the same result with her blood work last year but when they did an ultrasound on the gall bladder it came back normal. The next test was to look for hepititis and the bilirubin was normal. There are some liver problems in my family so I was a bit freaked with the result but felt better after talking to my sister. At least I'm not anemic!! There are a few more results that will be coming so I'm doing the waiting game. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
