I find Mediterranian one of my favorites, and I also very much enjoy REAL Mexican food... not the US versions like Taco Bell offers! I happen to have close friends that are from southern Mexico and they do NOT eat all of that greasy fried stuff cooked with lard. I'm also very fortunate to have a local 'Mom & Pop' restaurant in the nearest town that is a reasonably priced Mexican restaurant that cooks 'old style'. They are happy to accommodate me any time with baked chips as opposed to fried chips, and no lard in my food. They will also serve me black beans with no lard or pinto beans with no lard, plain beans on the side. The meats are slow cooked and shredded, and the fat is all skimmed off and removed before it is put on the grill quicky for browning and heating (no oil nor lard). It's great! They KNOW what I like and what I can eat, and I've been eat there for more than 4 years. They give me a warm flour or white corn tortilla to go with my meal.
