Hi Wendy,
I am 17 weeks along and I remember feeling like that early on. Fortunetly I only puked once. I was nauseous all the time!
In my first trimester I lost 5 pounds but now I have gained a total of 9. I am not taking any medicine besides the prenatal which I know can spell disaster for IBS. I typically dont deal with constipation, I deal with "d" so thats why I lost the weight in the beginning...it didnt matter what I ate, it went right through me.

I think when you get through this morning sickness (or all day sickness) stuff that you have in your first trimester you will feel better. I too have not been a great follower of the EFI diet in my second trimester. I have been craving food and its hard to say no to those cravings! I have tried some stuff and it has backfired on me like red meat for example- still makes me really sick and I havent tried dairy- still eat a lot of soy.
But I do enjoy fruit now so I eat quite a lot of it which I never did before I was pregnant. I also eat a bit of salad now, not a full meal salad but I havent had lettuce in over two years.
Its hard to follow the EFI diet being pregnant, I never used to crave this stuff because I knew how it made me feel but being pregnant is totally different. For the most part I still follow the diet, I just stray a little (breaded chicken, tator tots and larger portions of food than I normally would do).

Its hard for you right now being 11 weeks, I remember it well, but just hang in there and know that for most it gets better. Congrats!! We find out what I'm having on Oct. 7th!! I cant't wait!

Stefanie
