Educating People about IBS       03/20/03 04:13 PM Edit Reply Quote SharonMello Reged: 01/22/03 Posts: 996 Loc: Groveland, CA I just wanted to say that all these embarrassing moments we've been talking about can be turned into something very positive by educating people who make smart-aleky remarks about the way and what we eat. I'm sure if people knew about the illness (or whatever you wanna call it for lack of a better word), they wouldn't be so crass. It's a great time to be our "mouthpiece" and spread the word about IBS. When I tell people I have it, they wrinkle their brow and say, "what's that?", and I proceed to explain what it is. The more people that know, in my opinion, the better.
