Why has my bowel function changed so much?       06/04/09 07:05 PM Edit Reply Quote jason61 Reged: 04/12/07 Posts: 190 When I first developed IBS I was still basically having normal movements and normal urges, but now after 7 years I never get urges to go when im out and about and if i dont spend 1-2 hrs relaxing in the morning before I leave my house I wont go all day. When im with people or traveling I pretty much wont go at all unless i take a strong laxative or load up on natural calm. why has my colon function changed so much? will I ever be able to get things back to normal or am i gonna have to live like this for the rest of my life? My constipation isnt the result of inadequate amts of fiber, but its a result of GI spasms..i believe its called spastic constipation...the muscles just lock up on me. its triggered by foods, stress and even flying on a plane will trigger the spasms Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
