I have not been on the board as much in the past year and half as things were going well with my IBS. In mid-January I had an attack the night before I was flying out on vacation. Typically when I get an attack there is bloating with gas which changes to D with nauseau to then become C for the next three days. Instead I skipped the D and went straight to vomiting. I managed to get the system under control and fly out and spent the first day of vacation on BART before adding lean protein the next day. Things were fine until tonight at supper when my gut was doing this whole Aliens thing and I assumed it was bloating from gas. An hour later it was watery D with chills and sweats. Sipped water, peppermint tea and took two doses of Citrucel and laid down. Had another bout of the watery D about an hour ago. I am still taking the water to stay hydrated but I am concerned that the cramping and bloating has turned into a dull ache almost as if I did too many sit-ups. No cheating other than I rewarded myself with a Hershey kiss for accomplishing a huge project a week early.

My questions are has anyone had the, well creepy, visable gut activity? Is that the likely cause of the sit-up ache? After being stable for a long period do your attacks change? Should I be overly concerned and go to the walk in clinic tomorrow or wait see where this goes as long as I am hydrated and report the new attack symptoms on Monday? I am leaning against the primary care clinic since everyone with a cold will be there be I don't need to be exposed to that since I can't handle cold meds without them becoming a trigger, but if necessary I will go. Thanks in advance.
