Hi all,
I haven't received my cds yet, but when I do I will be off the boards, since that is what is recommended. I will miss chatting, but I think it will be best for me, and goes with the course of treatment.
I had one more question before I go, and I would like to get as much feedback as possible, if you all would be so kind.
What do you mean by stable? Does that mean a normal BM (not D or C), and going on a regular basis? I was curious about this, because I don't know if I will ever see that for myself. I am either so C (which I have been most of my life), or flipping to periodic D, which developed after trauma in my life, last year. The Align has helped tremendously with the gas and especially the bloating, but I am still very irregular.
If I stick with the diet to a T, and have mostly SF, I get and remain very C. If I throw in IF, sometimes I go a little D, so I guess I haven't found the right balance. I thought with a diet mostly of SF, it was supposed to allow for a regular BM, but it doesn't for me. It really is very confusing to me.
Anyway, I guess that is more than one question. I will check back one more time, before I get the cds, to see if you great people have any answers.
All my life I have been C (before I knew I had IBS), and when I really needed to go, I would eat about 1/4 cup of Bran Buds in the AM, and would go like clockwork, the next morning. Now, bran is supposed to be a no-no, but it helped me, so that is confusing. Although, that was before I started to swing to D,occasionally. I don't know why I stopped the Bran Buds cereal...I guess I didn't like the taste much.
Well anyway, I always seem to go on and on, and digress from my original question (the writer in me), so any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Lynn
