I DO fast occasionally to help my IBS calm down and it does wonders. So I think it just depends on th person.
Fasting Is OK....as long as you drink plenty of water (not too cold), and perhaps some herbal tea. Of course only fast for a day or two.

I agree with the other responses to this post. Food seems like an enemy to my body.
