Personally I have not taken Align because it is not available in Canada. Apparently Protor & Gamble has no immediate intention of making it available here. However, I have taken Life Start which contains a different strain of the same probiotic. Align contains Bifidobacterium infantis 35624 were as Life Start contains Bifidobacterium infantis NLS. Both products contains small amounts of milk, primarily I believe because this probiotic organism grows best in a culture media containing a milk protien caseinate. Life Start did not bother me and a number of people on the board take Align with no problems. I suspect because it only contains a relatively small amount of milk product (sodium caseinate for Align). Consider that each tablet contains about 1/6 of a teaspoon of material you can see there is a relatively small amount of caseinate in a daily dose. The best way to find out is to give it a try and see how it goes. Don't forget that according to the instructions you may experience some bloating and gas for the a while after you start Align.

You might want to take the probiotic a 2-3 hours before or after you take the antibiotic. What antibiotic did you doctor give you? Was it by chance Rifaximin or Neomycin?
