I was on the diet for a couple weeks without relief to my constipation. I thought I was already drinking plenty of water, so I didn't think twice about it. The soluble fiber just seemed to fill me fuller and fuller until I drank enough water to make it into a gel in my colon. I hope this information is correct. This is how it seems to me anyway. Good luck and don't get discouraged. There are so many tips and recommendations that it is impossible to incorporate them all right away. You will find what works for you, though.
