Calcium polycarbophil is a safe bulk-forming laxative that does not tend to produce any dependency issues. Bulk form laxatives are considered quite safe. However, they can interfere with the absorption of other drugs. Hence, they advise you to take it 2 hours before taking other drugs. It likely will not interfere with the absorption of multivitamins, peppermint or regimint. It is quite common for all laxative supplements and drugs to say that you shouldn't take it for more than 7 days without a doctors advice. It is there to reduce the liability of the company that produced the product.
