I am transisitioning to a veggie diet. I also get eggs from a workmate with a hobby farm and I am still eating seafood. I don't have as much problem with IF as some do, so there really isn't a grain or veg I can't eat (I still always have SF but the IF doesn't bother me). So the EFI diet is great for vegans. It is so much easier to buy IBS safe food at a HFS or natural food dept which is where veggies usually shop.
One kavetch I have lately is that so many soy burgers have cheese in them! I accidentally bought one that had cheese as the second ingredient so I am more careful now but many of the choices have cheese!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
