I had been having UTI's about once every month or two. Then after a treatment of antiotics for one, the symptoms came back two weeks later, and the culture came back negative. I did a lot of research and went to three different urologists before being diagnosed with IC and getting treatment (along with diet, the IC medication, Elmiron, is what helped me).
