Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

So last week I went to the doctor for what I thought was a urinary tract infection. I have had them before and it hurt when I peed. The doctor did an immediate culture and said there were a lot of white blood cells which made him think it was a UTI and he gave me medicine. I haven't even finished the medicine yet and the pain is back. I called the doctor today and they said that the culture came back from the lab with no growth. Do you think maybe I have interstitial cystitis? I haven't experienced increased frequency, just pain when I pee. I don't think I eat most of the foods that make IC worse- except apples which I have had every single day for probably the last 3 years. It is sort of interesting that I had two yesterday and the pain is back today, but I don't know. I'm going to the doctor on Wednesday anyways, but I thought it was interesting and wanted to see what you guys thought.
