Hey Sand!
You posted a response to Candy2 that said she was having a hard time with her IBS, and commented that she was eating "beef" tacos, doughnuts, gravy, fries, etc. Wow. I am not surprised at all that she can't get her poor belly under control!
Everything you said was right on!!
There are soooo many wonderful options out there, but you just have to look, and be creative.
One of my FAVORITE cookbooks is an old Southern Living cookbook I have had for about 7 years, and I enjoy all my old favorite recipes in it all the time. I simply substitute 2 egg whites for each one egg, soy cheese for regular cheese, soy milk when it calls for milk, ground turkey for ground beef, etc. There are so many "tricks" to making our foods safe for our tummies...just use your good sense. It's easy!
Thanks for your post. I agree. Maybe there are people on here whose IBS isn't as bad as some others, maybe that's why they didn't say anything. I can cheat very little, as I have a pretty sensitive tummy...bummer for me!
