Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

I go to an accupuncturist and have for about the last 8 months. I initially went to mine for headaches, which admittedly she hasn't done much for at all! But I was having chemotherapy and having awful nausea and even more bowel problems than normal for me, and she helped me sooo much. even though I am normally constipated, with the chemo it would make me have diarrhea and severe cramps. Literally the same day I saw my acupuncturist my stomache would feel better within an hour or two. It was amazing.

After I was done with chemo, I have gone back to her 3 or 4 times. Every time I do my stomache issues let up for a while. I don't think she is a cure forever but she helps me stabilize when having a very bad week. I was amazed when I got these kind of results, I didn't expect her to help me with IBS at all! I would recommend going to one highly just to see if it can help. I wish she could have done something with my headaches too!
